On Wednesday, Team Clementine ventured to the spacious Heal’s – a department store which has become a landmark for the design savvy (writes Cyrielle Kpoze). It was established on Tottenham Court Road in 1818. We noted the original motif of a four poster bed, still visible on its façade.
Heal’s has become the fixture for our annual showcase, where curious journalists and editors get to meet our established, as well as new, clients. As an intern who grew up in a relatively small French city, Orléans in the Loire Valley, I must admit to being blown away by the breadth of this place: stunning, Scandinavian-style light fixtures, deep, comfy sofas, delicate trinkets, and… ‘50% Off’ sales… Concentration! We need to get going to meet the Heal’s team.
On the first floor, we met Sarah and Lauren who vowed to help us to organise our exceptional event. Their reassuring, confident manners helped avow that we could definitely work together to achieve greatness. We could also already see the quirky and luxurious tables upon which we could convey brand Clementine and the clients entrusting us to promote their wares to London’s discerning scribes.
Team Clementine, caught up in a supernova of ideas, inspired by the cool, upmarket setting, soon realised that we need to plan in more tables… Indeed, with more brands, signing up to be part of the Clementine Showcase and more journalists responding in the positive to attend spelt great opportunity. This year, thus far, we will welcome: CA Grands Crus, Hill Farm, Cramele Recas, Bernard Magrez’s La Grande Maison Hotel and Luxury Wine Experience, Caviar Sturia, Chene Bleu wines and goodness knows how many more….
After trying a very nice couch and compiling a fat folio of notes,, we headed back to our HQ at Parson’s Green to work out the logistics (my designated duty!). Still so much to do, and so little time, but we are sure that the 2016 Clementine Communications Showcase will be the best one. At least until the next…
There’s still time to register to attend!
