It’s an exciting week for our wonderful client Cramele Recas, Romania’s largest wine exporter, which has further expanded its UK retail portfolio with two new listings in Aldi; the Dealuri Feteasca Regala, 2020 and the Dealuri Premium Romanian Rose, 2020.
These wines will join Cramele Recas’ internationally acclaimed portfolio marking the start of an exciting year for the brand. 2020 saw near-perfect growing conditions in the Romanian vineyards with a yield of 28,500 tones. Cramele Recas is the largest producer of natural wines in Eastern Europe, with production increasing to 200,000 bottles last year.
2020 also saw the winery debut its Sorcova Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir 2019 variety into Waitrose stores nation-wide, which shortly became the supermarket’s largest ‘Eastern European’ launch it had ever seen.

Dealuri Feteasca Regala, 2020, £4.99 Aldi – A complex and vibrant wine where white pepper, cinnamon, fresh quince, and floral aromas blend exquisitely in this complex, vibrant wine with a persistent finish.
Dealuri Premium Romanian Rose, 2020, £4.99 Aldi – A crisp, fresh rosé, the Dealuri Premium Rosé is a blend of classic grapes which creates this pale pink Rosé with rich, fruity aromas. Notes of strawberry and cranberry on the nose complimented by subtle hints of cherry and raspberry.
Both wines are available now, and at £4.99 are further proof of Cramele Recas’ continual promise to deliver great quality wines at affordable price points. The Romanian winery also has a commitment to promoting gender equality in wine, with women making up 80% of its core winemaking team for the 2020 vintage.
