Autumn has clearly arrived, and the cold air is running through the streets of London! With this atmosphere, it is inevitable that we’re (reluctantly) relegating our summer clothes to the back of our wardrobes and taking the warm and cosy jumpers out.
Over the past year, we’ve been supporting a fantastic young charity called Beder. We completed our #5Marathons5Days challenge back in May and this month we have held the first annual ‘Autumn Fair’ clothes swap.
Each member of the team brought in preloved clothes which are in need of a new home, sticking a post-it price label on, and selling to another member of the team. All of the proceeds are going straight to Beder to help it continue its work in softly raising awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.
With a team full of self-professed fashionistas there were quite a few goodies up for grabs. The competition was fierce but we all managed to get our hands on some new clothes to bring back home with us.
Plus, a £100 sent to Beder to help with its mission!
If you’re feeling up for it, the Beder Challenge is back. Next month, Beder is challenging you to run 5.197km to commemorate and open up the conversation about the 5,197 people who sadly took their own life across the UK in 2020.
Simply run 5.197km, nominate 3 (or more) people to join you & share on social media, donate £5 to Beder using this link: https://justgiving.com/campaign/thebederchallenge
And finally, tag @beder_uk in your stories!
