It’s arguably the most prestigious sporting event on the globe, and this year, the podium celebrations at the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco were even more memorable than normal. Toasting the occasion with special Jeroboams of Ferrari Trentodoc, the Italian sparkling wine par excellence, it was a very special occasion since Carlos Sainz Jr was representing Ferrari Scuderia, resulting in two Ferraris on the podium for the first time.
Taking place in Monte Carlo, the top athletes on the planet competed in a hotly contested race, with Max Verstappen taking first place for Team Red Bull Racing Honda, with Carlos Sainz Jr securing the first podium spot for Scuderia Mission Winnow Ferrari this season. Lando Norris came in third place for McLaren F1 Team, rounding out the podium celebration.

Ferrari Trento first joined the Formula 1 podium celebrating the “Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia Romagna 2021” in Imola, on Sunday 18th of April. Italy’s premium sparkling wine took to the iconic celebratory stage in its home country for the second race of the 2021 season, which followed the season opener Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, a traditionally “alcohol-free” event. Since then, it has been used to mark the iconic podium toast in Portimao, Portugal and Barcelona, Spain, before the internationally lauded Monte Carlo race.
The partnership, which marks the first time an Italian wine is the official toast of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship™, was announced in March of this year, and will see Ferrari Trento used to celebrate on the F1 podium for the next three seasons.
