The five-star property is located in the heart of Bordeaux in a mansion retreat dating from the turn of the nineteenth century. Its refurbishment was masterminded by collector of châteaux, Bernard Magrez and holder of 28 Michelin stars, Joël Robuchon.
Wishing to establish a restaurant offering the highest level of service and gastronomy, Magrez joined forces with friend, Robuchon to create La Grande Maison’s gourmet restaurant, arguably Bordeaux’s finest, with a wine list featuring Grands Crus Classé wines.
The chef with the most Michelin stars in the world offers famous signature dishes, from duck foie gras with truffle to his memorable buttery, mash potato, and caviar jelly with cream of cauliflower.
All six, softly-lit luxurious suites offer a poised and comfortable combination of charm, elegance and sophistication: with hand-chosen fabrics, silks, furniture, rugs and art as well as Hermes toiletries and complimentary minibar.
The three-night package at La Grande Maison can include a full programme of festive activities: gastronomical, oenological and cultural, such as visits and tastings of the quartet of Bernard Magrez’ Grands Crus Classés and the discovery of the current exhibition at the Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez opposite La Grande Maison.
With Monsieurs Magrez and Robuchon, you will discover the true meaning of pleasure via a relaxed, traditional and opulent Christmas…
Book two nights and get third free (€410 per room, per night). Offer available via La Grande Maison’s website from 1 December 2015 to 31 January 2016 (subject to availability).
