This month we’re shining the light on our fantastic junior account executive, Emma! Since graduating from Durham University last year, she’s been living and breathing all things luxury lifestyle PR. We’re lucky to have her on board, get to know Emma more below:

What’s your role here at Clementine Com?
I’m the junior account executive at Clementine, and work on the PR side of the agency, so my role focuses a lot on media relations, and staying aware of the media landscape so we pitch our clients most effectively. Aside from securing coverage for our clients, I also try to ensure a lot of the groundwork is always ship shape, to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible for the others at Clementine; this ranges from updating our media lists and other trackers to drafting press releases and compiling reports.
Where did your passion for PR come from?
I was lucky in that I applied for a PR internship on a whim after graduating, and fell in love with it on my first day. It’s the best career because it encompasses so many things across the broad sectors of communication and creativity. We also have some truly fantastic clients, and it’s easy to feel inspired when you’re pitching products that you’re genuinely passionate about.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is that I learn something new everyday, so it’s impossible to be bored. Clementine Com is fast-paced and we set ourselves high standards, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Any tips for those wanting to start a career in PR?
My advice would be to make sure you’re really interested in all aspects of PR; it’s the best, but as an industry it’s intense. You’ve got to have a get-up-and-go attitude so you can adapt to any snags that might come your way.
Do you have any goals for 2021?
Professionally, my goal is definitely to continue to grow in my role at Clementine; there are so many aspects to this job that I’m improving at all the time, so I hope that this continues throughout the year. Aside from work, I’m hoping to be to able to see more of the world; we’ve been unable to travel for so long and I’m dying to visit so many places as soon as COVID lets me!
