This year Nicolas Cloiseau, Master Chef Chocolatier of La Maison du Chocolat takes us on a Spring outing with his latest creation, The Daisy Family.
Everything, from their unabashed spontaneity to their breath-taking beauty, announces Spring is coming. A family portrait with an Easter backdrop, only on this Easter hunt the chocolate isn’t hidden; it’s on full display. On this lovely bed of flowers, Nicolas introduces us to the Daisy Family and gives chocolate its finest expression.
With poetic license, he draws luminous corollas; sculpts arms in mid-air, paints their lips bright red and trims their moustaches. In a maze of Easter eggs, ladybugs and budding sprouts, nature springs to life. With their elegant appearance, the family members depict an Easter Egg Hunt like none other. A multitude of expressions brings these figurines to life. The chocolate keeps to the art of detail; it is almost too real. Nicolas Cloiseau invites us to appreciate the humour of a world where flowers sprout from eggs – Easter eggs that is!
All the figurines and decorations in chocolate are made entirely by hand. They are filled with crispy crêpe praliné eggs, milk chocolate almond praliné eggs, dark chocolate hazelnut praliné eggs, crunchy dark praliné eggs and milk and dark chocolate fishes.
