The Three Drinkers have joined forces with Help 4 Hospitality to raise funds for the hospitality sector. Usually known for their playful and accessible way of approaching the subject of wine and spirits, The Three Drinkers of turned their attention to helping a related industry about which they are equally passionate.
They are assisting the Help 4 Hospitality campaign in raising much-needed funds for both individuals and businesses suffering at the heart of this crisis by releasing a special Limited-Edition mixed case on the Help 4 Hospitality website, www.help4hospitality.co.uk.
Alex Hunt MW, purchasing director at Berkmann Wine Cellars, says: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Three Drinkers on this mixed case. The chance to be guided through three pairs of delicious wines by such knowledgeable and engaging experts is a real lockdown treat, and those who partake can also enjoy the fact they are helping support the hospitality industry in its hour of greatest need.”
The Three Drinkers have each chosen a pair of wines to make up the case of six. The case will be supported by fun and informal video content on social feeds comparing and contrasting their selections. Helena Nicklin has picked a Chablis and a Chilean Chardonnay, Colin Hampden-White pits Crozes-Hermitage against a Rhône-influenced Australian Shiraz, and Aidy Smith looks at Cabernet Sauvignons from Chile and Argentina.
Aidy Smith said: “The Three Drinkers are delighted to team up with Berkmann Wine on their Help 4 Hospitality campaign. It’s crucial that we find ways to help our community right now and this seemed like a great cause to put our name to.”
Helena Nicklin commented: “This is the perfect case for anyone who wants to delve into three amazing grape varieties, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah/Shiraz, looking at two expressions of each from across the planet”.
Colin Hampden-White adds: “We chose some producers who we’ve come to love over the years and are excited to support such a super charity initiative while helping folks discover some seriously good wine”.
