By rewarding your loved one this Christmas with a AEN METAXA limited edition, not only will you be giving them a piece of Greek history but also exclusivity of being blessed with one of the only 1888 AEN METAXA decanter’s worldwide.
‘AEN’, the ancient Greek word for ‘forever’, is an expression that has been cherished by five generations of Metaxa masters since the House of Metaxa’s inception in 1888 by the pioneering Spyros Metaxa. Today, the house’s fifth cellar master, Contas Raptis takes great pride in the precious liquid of Cask No 1 that is AEN METAXA. Mr Raptis speaks of the time he took his first sip of the exquisite elixir fondly, an experience that ignited his passion to continue the work of Spyros Metaxa.
AEN METAXA pays homage to the House of Metaxa’s constant pursuit of smoothness and timeless brilliance, revealing complex and very sophisticated aromas of oak, dried fruit including prunes, figs and raisins. As well as tastes of roasted almond, walnut, hazelnut, bitter orange, honey and that of a freshly opened cigar box, which develop over time. AEN METAXA has an extremely long finish of Mocha and sweet spices. Tastes and scents that are often associated with Christmas.
Deep mahogany with radiant bronze highlights in appearance, AEN METAXA, is presented in a beautifully crafted crystal decanter, handmade by the Crystal de Sèvres traditional craftsmen. Finished with premium excellence, each AEN cap is unique and made with 20, 6 Carat gold.
